Motto: "Giving a smile back to the world"

Hakuna Matata is a Swahili phrase which means:
No worries or No problems.

About Us

The idea to start this project initially came from members of a Kenyan community who were informally supporting approximately 20 orphaned children, as well as several abused girls from various parts of Meru district. They began by recruiting and mobilizing resources from within their community to facilitate this. Unfortunately, due to the global recession (which had a pronounced local impact) the community can no longer provide sufficient donations to keep the project afloat. Consequently, some of these children have been forced to drop out of school, and those still enrolled in school have insufficient supplies of even the most basic resources such as notebooks, pens, and pencils. Because of this necessity, we, volunteers from both Kenya and abroad, have created a formal organization and are seeking further assistance in establishing a center capable of continuing to provide care for these children and girls.
